Travel Grants
EEM 2026 is committed to supporting the next generation of researchers and offers eight travel grants up to the amount of EUR 1,000 to outstanding Young Investigators.
Grant recipients will be selected based on the quality of their submitted abstracts. The eight selected candidates will be invited to present their research during a dedicated Young Investigators Session on 18 August 2026, from 09.00-12.20.
Each presenter will have 15 minutes for presentation followed by 5 minutes for discussion, providing an excellent platform to showcase their work to an international audience of experts and peers.
This is a unique opportunity to present your research. We encourage all eligible Young Investigators to submit their abstracts and apply for this exciting opportunity.

During the abstract submission process, you will find a dedicated Travel Grant tab. To be considered, you must tick the box indicating that you wish to apply for a Travel Grant.
Criteria
To be considered for a Young Investigator Travel Grant, applicants must:
Have submitted an abstract to EEM 2026
Be the first author and presenting author of the abstract
Be a PhD candidate or have no more than three years of postdoctoral experience
If selected, recipients are required to deliver their oral 15 minutes presentation in English during the Young Investigators Session.

Travel Grant Coverage
A limited number of Travel Grants are available to support participation in the EEM 2026. Each grant covers relevant expenses up to EUR 1,000, subject to submission of valid documentation.
Eligible expenses include:
- EEM 2026 registration fee
- Economy-class travel*
- Hotel accommodation
*Please note that only economy-class travel is covered. Selected grant recipients may receive assistance with flight booking; however, tickets may also be purchased independently. In all cases, it is essential that the participant has personally paid for the ticket — expenses paid directly by a university or institution cannot be reimbursed.
