Welcome to the
European Elastin Meeting 2026!
It is our greatest pleasure to announce that the 13th European Elastin Meeting (EEM2026) will be held in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark from August 18-21, 2026.

EEM 2026 will unite leading experts in (bio)chemistry, medicine, physics, material sciences, and computational sciences from academia, industry, and clinical practice to explore a wide range of topics around elastin, its role in health and disease, and its potential in regenerative medicine.
The program, designed by both local and international scientific committees, will span key areas such as elastin biosynthesis, degradation, turnover, regulation, and repair, as well as its role in elastogenesis, diseases, and tissue regeneration.
EEM 2026 aims to serve as a dynamic forum for discussions and networking among senior researchers, early-career scientists, students, and companies.
The local organizing team looks forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen.

Introduction
The Monastery of S. Benedetto, built in 1393 with windows in flamboyant Gothic style. The Benedictine complex, closed for worship since the end of the 60s, was first purchased and restored by private individuals and is currently used by the University of Pisa.
Rich in classrooms, auditoriums, terraces, arcades with a characteristic garden and a bright vault, it is a place full of charm, functional and welcoming, intended for training activities and events.
