Welcome to the European Elastin Meeting 2026!
It is our greatest pleasure to announce that the 13th European Elastin Meeting (EEM2026) will be held in the beautiful city of Copenhagen, Denmark from August 18-21 2026.

ABOUT
European Elastin Meeting
EEM2026 will unite global experts from academia and industry in biochemistry, chemistry, medicine, physics, materials science, and computational sciences with an interest in elastin and related topics. The conference will cover a wide range of aspects regarding elastin and elastic fibers, including biosynthesis, degradation, turnover, regulation, repair, and their potential as biomaterials. The scientific committees, both local and international, have designed a program that addresses key research areas, from fundamental studies to the role of elastin and elastic fibers in elastogenesis, diseases, and their application in repairing damaged or aging tissues.
EEM2026 aims to serve as a distinctive platform that fosters advanced discussions and encourages networking among senior researchers, early-career scientists, students, and companies from Europe, North America, and other regions. With its multidisciplinary focus, EEM2026 will offer valuable insights into the future of elastin-related research.

Introduction
The Monastery of S. Benedetto, built in 1393 with windows in flamboyant Gothic style. The Benedictine complex, closed for worship since the end of the 60s, was first purchased and restored by private individuals and is currently used by the University of Pisa.
Rich in classrooms, auditoriums, terraces, arcades with a characteristic garden and a bright vault, it is a place full of charm, functional and welcoming, intended for training activities and events.
